How to export your Concept2 / ErgData workouts
Concept2's Online Logbook lets you export any workout — including stroke-level detail — as a CSV. Here's how to grab yours, and what Baseline does with it.
Can you export this data?
Yes. If your PM5 has synced to the Concept2 Online Logbook (either directly over Wi-Fi or via the ErgData app on your phone), every workout in your Logbook can be exported as CSV — with stroke-by-stroke data for pieces where that was recorded.
Step-by-step
- 1Open log.concept2.com in a browser and sign in to your Concept2 Logbook.
- 2In your Logbook, open the workout you want to export.
- 3Look for the CSV export link on the workout detail page (it usually appears near the workout summary or under a more-options menu).
- 4For stroke-by-stroke data, choose the CSV export that includes stroke data. For a summary only, the plain CSV is enough.
- 5Save the CSV file somewhere you can find it — Baseline accepts one or many CSVs in a single upload.
What’s in the file
Concept2 CSV exports come in two shapes: a summary CSV (one row per workout, with distance, time, split, watts, stroke rate and heart rate averages) and a stroke CSV (one row per stroke, with power and pace at that stroke). Baseline reads both.
What Baseline does with it
The Concept2 CSV parser is in beta. It's built against the known Concept2 Logbook export shapes (summary CSV and stroke CSV) and is currently being tested against real user exports. When you upload, Baseline builds your rowing volume, split trend, watts trend and stroke-rate trend, and populates the benchmark tracker across 500m, 1k, 2k, 5k, 6k, 10k, 30 min and 60 min pieces — with a data-confidence tag on every metric.
Common issues
- If a workout doesn't show up in your Logbook, it wasn't synced from the PM5 — connect your PM5 (or the ErgData app) to Wi-Fi and let it sync before exporting.
- The CSV column order can differ between summary and stroke exports. Baseline auto-detects which shape you've uploaded — you don't need to pick one manually.
- Very old Logbook entries may have blank watts or heart-rate columns. Baseline flags these as low-confidence in the report rather than silently ignoring them.
Privacy note
Baseline stores your uploaded Concept2 CSVs only inside your private workspace. We don't share them, we don't sell them, and we don't use them to train public AI models. You can delete raw uploads after your report is generated.
Frequently asked
- Does ErgData export directly, or does it have to go through the Logbook first?
- ErgData syncs your workouts to your Concept2 Logbook automatically. The export happens from the Logbook web app at log.concept2.com — not from the ErgData app itself.
- Can Baseline read Concept2 FIT or TCX exports?
- Some rowers export FIT/TCX from a paired Garmin instead — Baseline reads those too, and de-duplicates them against your Concept2 CSV so the same 2k doesn't count twice.
- What about SkiErg and BikeErg?
- Concept2 Logbook exports for SkiErg and BikeErg use the same CSV shape. Baseline reads them but currently focuses its rowing-specific benchmarks on RowErg pieces.
Ready when your file is
Once you have your export, upload it to Baseline and get one joined-up profile across rowing, endurance and body metrics.
