How to export your Peloton workouts

Peloton lets every member download their entire workout history as a CSV from the Members site. Here's the exact click path, what's inside the file, and what Baseline does with it.

One-click: go straight to the export screen

Opens the Peloton Members workouts page — sign in if prompted, then use the "Download Workouts" button in the top right.

Can you export this data?

Yes. Every Peloton member — Bike, Bike+, Tread, Row, Guide or App-only — can download their lifetime workout history as a single workouts.csv. Cycling, running, tread, strength, yoga, stretching, meditation and bike bootcamp sessions are all in the same file.

Step-by-step

  1. 1Open members.onepeloton.com/profile/workouts in a browser and sign in with your Peloton member account (this is the same login as the Bike, Tread and App).
  2. 2In the top-right of the Workouts page, click the "Download Workouts" button.
  3. 3If your account has a large history, Peloton may not download the file directly — you'll get an emailed link to a ZIP containing workouts.csv within a few minutes to 24 hours instead. That's normal for long-standing members.
  4. 4Save workouts.csv somewhere you can find it. If the download came as a ZIP, unzip it first — you only need the CSV inside.
  5. 5Drop the CSV onto the Baseline upload page. You can drop multiple exports at once; Baseline de-duplicates rows that share the same start time.

What’s in the file

One file: workouts.csv. Seventeen columns, one row per workout, lifetime. Timestamps are ISO 8601 with the member's timezone offset (e.g. "2024-04-12 07:22 (-05)"); older exports use raw "2024-04-12T07:22:00Z" — Baseline reads both. Columns include Workout Timestamp, Live/On-Demand, Instructor Name, Length (minutes), Fitness Discipline, Type, Title, Total Output (kJ, cycling only), Avg. Watts, Avg. Resistance, Avg. Cadence (RPM), Avg. Speed (mph), Distance (mi), Calories Burned, Avg. Heartrate, Avg. Incline (tread only) and Avg. Pace (min/mi) (running / walking).

What Baseline does with it

Baseline reads every workout in the CSV, maps Fitness Discipline into your Baseline profile (cycling and bike_bootcamp → rides, running → runs, walking → walks, strength → strength sessions), and skips meditation rows because they carry no distance, output or heart rate. Cycling watts are the class average Peloton records over the whole class (including warm-up and cool-down). Peloton does not export interval-level or per-second data, so Baseline treats each row as a single session summary.

Common issues

  • The first export on an account with years of history can take up to 24 hours to arrive by email — Peloton's queue is separate from the live download. Try the direct button first; if it doesn't produce a file, wait for the email link.
  • If the download opens as a ZIP, the file you need is the workouts.csv inside — Baseline reads the CSV directly, not the ZIP wrapper.
  • Sessions on the Peloton App (no bike / tread / row hardware) still appear in the export as long as the app was signed in — this includes App-only strength, yoga and outdoor runs.

Privacy note

Your Peloton workouts.csv is parsed in your browser and discarded when the tab closes. Only the derived metrics — ride/run/tread trends, benchmarks and PBs — are ever sent to Baseline's servers, and only if you sign in and choose to save. The raw CSV is never uploaded.

Frequently asked

My strength / yoga sessions aren't in my score.
Expected. Peloton strength classes don't export lift-level detail (sets, reps, weight) — just class duration, HR and calories — so they can't feed the strength score. They're still visible in your History alongside the ride and run data.
Cycling watts look off — the number is lower than my in-class average.
Peloton reports average watts across the whole class, including warm-up and cool-down. That's the value Baseline uses because it's what the export contains; interval-level output isn't in the CSV.
Can I connect Peloton via API instead of uploading a CSV?
No. Peloton's API is closed to third parties — access is only granted to enterprise partners. The CSV export is the sanctioned path for members to get their data out, and it's what Baseline uses.
How often should I re-export?
Whenever you want fresh data. The CSV is lifetime every time, so a new export replaces the old one — Baseline de-duplicates automatically.

Ready when your file is

Once you have your export, drop it into Baseline to see one joined-up view across rowing, endurance and body metrics.
